First off, thank you to everyone who contributed to our migrant aid fund for Palomas. You were all more than generous and we’ll be set for several months. Remember that 75% of immigration detainees\/deportees are arrests from the interior of the US, not border crossers. Above is David, the first to receive help buying groceries in Palomas. \u00a0He is looking for work while awaiting his next step.<\/p>\n

We are so excited to be able to host Indica Simpson in Silver City. This will be the premier presentation that the Office of New Americans is doing in the state of New Mexico. Please join us on the 19<\/span>th\u00a0at the UU Fellowship building. There are so many ways that our community can benefit from their services. Both workers and employers.
